Will is eager and competitive when it comes to magic and Quidditch but he can also be self-absorbed and overconfident; he only wants to work on things that he feels are interesting.

Will at the mere age of 10 walked into kitchen to find his mother blood and his father in a drunken rage hitting his younger brother which caused Will to loss his temper and retrieve his father’s firearm from the living room and pull the trigger. Unable to control a weapon he had never used he shot several rounds into his father and one into his brother. When discharged, Will's father doubled his drinking calling it medicine and beat Will badly enough to leave scars. They spent their time avoiding each other after that and stuck to their own rituals.

At age 12 Danny could not deal with his schizophrenia any longer with no money for medication and the voices in his head urging him on he cut his body up with a knife which led to blood loss and death.
