Madam Malkin's Robes for All OccasionsThough far from the only wizarding clothier around, Madam Malkin's seems to be the best, as it is the place where most Hogwarts students purchase their robes Moderator: Shay |

Flourish & BlottsA large wizarding bookshop filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling, Flourish & Blotts is the primary - and perhaps only - supplier of textbooks for Hogwarts, though of course that's far from all they sell. The shop holds occasional book-signings Moderator: Shay |

ApothecaryThe Apothecary is a fascinating shop crammed with all sorts of interesting things. There are barrels of slimy stuff lined up on the floor and jars of all sorts of powders, herbs, and the like along the walls. Bundles of feathers, fangs, and claws hang from the ceiling. The whole place smells very bad, a mixture of bad eggs and rotten cabbage. Moderator: Shay |

Daily Prophet OfficesThe newspaper of the Wizarding World is called The Daily Prophet. It has been in existence since at least 1883, since Quidditch Through the Ages cites its coverage of Quidditch from that time. The current editor is Barnabas Cuffe . It has offices in Diagon Alley and publishes an edition every morning. Evening editions are also printed, and these can apparently be delivered very quickly after an important story breaks. A witch or wizard anywhere in Britain can have a copy in hand within a short time of publication Moderator: Shay |
